The Biltmore Hotel

Built in 1926

Designed by Schultze and Weaver and was by John McEntee Bowman and George Merrick as part of the Biltmore hotel chain. When completed it became the tallest building in Florida at 315 feet holding the record until 1928 when the Dade County Courthouse was built.

The Dupont Building

Built in 1925

The Dupont Building was the first skyscraper built after the County courthouse and the bust of 1928. Thus it represents Miami's emergence from the great depression.

The Freedom Tower

Built in 1937

As refugees from Cuba fleeing Fidel Castro's communist regime arrived in Miami during the 1960s, the federal government used the facility to process, document and provide medical and dental services for the newcomers.

The Pink House

Built in 1978

The Pink House brought a new era of architecture to Miami inspired by the Art Deco and Modernist heritage of the city.

Government Center

Built in 1985

Government Center is a skyscraper in the Government Center district of Downtown Miami, Florida, United States. It is the headquarters building of the Miami-Dade County government.

The Colony Hotel

Built in 1935

The Colony, designed in 1935, was one of the early buildings erected during the Art Deco renaissance that revived Miami Beach after the great hurricane of September 1933.

Courtyard Style Apartments

Built through 1910-1930's

Built through the early 1900's, Courtyard Style apartments met the housing demands of the booming city.

Built in 1967
